New York: Despite all the criticism, President Barack Obama's appearance on daytime talk show 'The View' has set ratings record and has even become the most watched telecast in the ABC series' history.

According to entertainment site TheWrap.com, the episode, which screened Thursday, drew record 6.6 million viewers.
